Sandpiper Cafe in Juneau

SO GOOD! It was our first time coming here really friendly staff and lots of great food! Next time we stay in Juneau we will be coming here!

Born and raised Juneau local, definitely the best food and best deal in town bar-none. Everything on the menu is worth trying and their portions are more than generous, they are always busy and they still give you the small time friendliness you look for. They have a small army of staff for their modest location and they are always doing their best! Try the sweet potato fries!

Very good breakfast. A short walk from the port and a bit hidden.Showed up on a Friday 7:15 no waiting. Waitress was writing on the menu and stopped to seat me. Point one they offer coffee upon seating which most places don’t do.. took 6 minutes for my food to be served which is superb, ordered the 2 eggs with Yukon potatoes and sockeye salmon. Huge serving and good presentation . The guy next to me ordered the French toast special and it looked fabulous . The best!

You can’t go wrong with breakfast here in Juneau. The entire menu is amazing and the service is great. Come here at least 2-3 times a month for breakfast. They serve breakfast and lunch. Really glad Juneau has a breakfast spot!! Hope you get alex as a waitress. Cute and very nice.

Great staff and awesome food. The rare meats are fun to try and tasty. Their rueben is unbeatable.

I ate here for breakfast and lunch (on separate days) and both meals were delicious.

The food is phenomenal, big portions. A little expensive compared to other options is Juneau with the a like menu. The eggs benedict was delish. The coffee is bitter. The servers were so busy and trying to make it all work!!

Delicious food. We were in town on a cruise and met up with some friends who suggested this restaurant. The service was good, the restaurant is very clean and the food was excellent and arrived quickly.

Was a nice place with fish and chips, sandwiches etc.

The service was fantastic. Like...our server felt so amped to be serving us that I swore we were on a prank TV show.I had the crab eggs Benedict and it was AMAZING - a total must try in the area.Great food!

The food here is almost always on point, and if it's not, there's no problem because they will fix it for you in a jiffy. My favorites are the sausage gravy and biscuits, the cashew chicken salad salad, and the French toast. The specials are always tasty, and their service is great. Oh, and don't forget to try the blintzes!

High quality, delicious food. Everything made to order. We had the Denver scramble, hash browns, and a pancake. Portions are quite large, so you can definitely split whatever you order and save a little money. Get there before 8:30am to avoid waiting in line.

Had a business breakfast there. The staff was attentive. The food was quick to arrive and it was tasty. I had a chicken fried steak. The place was cold however. Other guests commented about temperature as well. 4 people cost around $74 with tip for breakfast.

Juneau has offered a lot of new experiences. The them that ties them all together is the friendly community. That is shown really well at the Sandpiper Cafe. The food is well prepared and creative. I had a pumpkin pie pancake that was amazing. My GF had vegan pancakes which she loved. Vegans usually have a hard time finding places with vegan pancakes, so this was a wonderful treat. The inside is cozy and well kept. That staff are all attentive and nice. All in all, we loved our breakfast.

Great breakfast spot, went with a large party. They were able to fit us in at separate tables which was fine with us. Had the French toast special, some eggs Benedicts, some omelettes, pancakes. Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was attentive and friendly. Prices are fair for the location and large portions. Would return when in Juneau.

The food was very good. You get lots of food too! I got the lentil soup, which was perfectly seasoned, and the salad. All of the ingredients seemed fresh. The atmosphere was nice but it can be a little loud in there. Only thing bad was service was slow. They were still friendly though.

Food is excellent! Very huge portions worth the cost. Service was so slow, we were in a rush and it took 5 mins for her to find pencil to write order down. She forgot ranch as side we had to ask another person to grab it since it had been a long time. Then took 15 mins for a go box. Worse service we have had in two weeks eating out on vacation.

When you entre the restaurant you need to wait, to be placed on a table because they are really really demented. In front of my 1 guy was reserving for 10 people.Like it! Like it!Oh my gosh, a really restaurant where you have breakfast all day.First of all not wifi there but you are there to eat an incredible breakfast rather than been on your phone 😑Anyway AMAZING experience, the staff are super friendly.If your in Juneau, Alaska so try it out 😉

This was my favorite breakfast spot on my trip to Juneau. Omlettes were fantastic. Great choice of griddle goodies. House coffee was really good.

Food was good service was fast and friendly. Daily specials large portions. You can easily share, only open for breakfast and lunch 6 am to 2pm.

I love to eat here! I know other people say that the service is slow but compared to other restaurants that is because they make everything from scratch. Nothing is a microwaved premade meal. Portions are HUGE and food is awesome. I highly recommend the French toast special (it changes every week) but everything is good. Honestly I would say that it's the best breakfast in Juneau and I have lived here all my life. However I do know that one waitress is quite impolite I have seen it myself.

I did not have a good experience at all the first time I went here (service related); so I did not have any intention of going back. My daughter talked me into it, and I am so glad she did! This time, the service was very good, and the food was fantastic! You've got to try the sourdough pancakes they were soo good! (I put blueberries in mine--yum!)

I had the Reuben, my kids had the burger and my wife had the potatoes we were all happy with our selection.

I ordered the breakfast combo with french toast, eggs, and bacon. The absolute BEST French toast! I will be saving this restaurant on my map for my next trip to Juneau and tell everyone I know that this is the place to eat.

While in Juneau for the past week I ate at the Sandpiper at least once a day. Every meal was delicious and the staff were always friendly. Highly recommend it!

Probably the best breakfast in Juneau. All their food is homemade and fresh, really takes it to the next level. Love their Chicken Fried Steak among many other things!

Excellent!! Party of 10 was quickly accommodated (I'd recommend reservations anyways if you have the chance), everyone ordered something different, and every member of the party was very happy with the quality and quantity of food they received. Great price for the portion size and quality.

Awesome breakfast and service was the best. Opens up at 0600 which is perfect for us morning people. Thanks for the wonderful meal!

Very well presented plates of food. Tastes fresh and delicious. Had breakfast here. The cheese omelet, hash browns, vanilla French toast,bacon...yeah everything was superb.
